Netmums is the UK’s most diverse, inclusive and supportive parenting community. I help to fill the platform with useful researched resources, including engaging website content and SEO articles.
Here is a growing archive of some of the content I have produced for the platform >
I joined the Hillside Clubhouse "Website and Social Media Volunteer" team to help create a better website that the company could use to attract more fundraising opportunities, and start spreading the word about the project. The services Hillside Clubhouse offer are aimed towards helping people struggling with mental health issues who want to discover ways to re-integrate themselves back into society and be supported to find employment .
I took the initiative to create a mock website in order to progress our brainstorming sessions forward by offering a visual template of the website for us to work with. My ideas and some of my original copy was used in the final website design.
I was commissioned by a content creator to help come up with a selection of video concepts (for use on social media to promote Step One Boxers), to pitch to the brand's UK Representative for potential production. I conducted brand research and came up with 6 original ideas for short videos, producing 6 written outlines and 3 example draft scripts for the pitch. The Houseplants Edit
The Houseplants Edit is a personal blog created to explore and share my discovery of the healing power of houseplants. I collect and nurture house plants as a coping strategy to improve my mental health and general wellbeing. I publish my illustrated blog posts, articles, and curated gift guides to help others enjoy and benefit from the healing power of houseplants too. I am also using the blog to experiment and learn more about affiliate marketing. Visit the blog >
I ran my own pet business for 5 years offering a unique puppy care service and support with basic training and early socialisation. I created a solution to a problem and discovered a gap in the pet care market, around which I developed a unique concept for my business. All research, branding, design work, website creation, website copy and social media (written content, graphics and video) was created by me. My Kind Of Bipolar
My Kind Of Bipolar is an illustrated personal blog that I initially created as a tool to help me come to terms with a diagnosis of Cyclothymia, which is a mood disorder on the bipolar spectrum. The blog evolved into a personal account of what it is like to live with a mental illness, and a resource to help other people on a similar journey. I am an active member of several online communities for people suffering with this condition, in which I take part in conversations and share links to my blog posts. I have received lots of positive feedback that my content has helped people to feel validated and understand their own experiences and symptoms better. Visit the blog >
Life On Paper By Filofancy
Filofancy was a personal blog that emerged from a passion for the Filofax brand, and lead to the discovery of the wonderful online planner community. It was one of my very first blogs, and provided me with a space to develop my writing style and practice writing a variety of different blog posts - including personal stories and anecdotes, creative ideas and tutorials, and product reviews. Yoga 4 Tango
The client wanted to promote an innovative new yoga class that targeted the Tango-dancing community, and create more engagement on the Yoga4Tango Facebook page. We came up with a blog series, written from the perspective of a complete Yoga beginner. Find out more about how I helped to develop and implement this idea >
